| Embryonic stem cell
transplants may be a dead end research, many researchers are now saying,
because they tend to cause cancer but adult stem cells are NOW BEING USED
to cure many patients.
People who might benefit from stem cell therapies include those with
spinal cord injuries, type 1 diabetes, Parkinson's disease,
amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, stroke,
burns, cancer and osteoarthritis. Also Pulmonary Hypotension may be
treated with adult stem cells. One problem with embryonic stem cells
is that some have problems with the morality of it since for example, the
